Almost everyone was heartbroken when we first heard the news that our favorite TV show, Friends will no longer be available on Netflix this coming January 2019. The steaming service displayed a note on the Friends page reading: “Availability: Until 1/1/19” which alarmed a lot of fans. But Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer cleared out that the NBC sitcom will be staying on Netflix the rest of 2019.
With this good news, we picked top 10 timeless Friends episodes that made us all laugh, cry, and fall in love with the sitcom’s characters, Joey, Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Rachel and Ross.

1. The One with Monica and Chandler’s Wedding (Parts 1 & 2)

This episode surely made us laugh as well as made us want to fall in love. It starts Chandler being overwhelmed with the idea of getting married and attempts to run away to think. On the other hand, Joey stars in a movie with a co-star who continuously spits all over his face whenever he delivers his lines. Eventually, Chandler finds it not so scary at all to get married when he saw Monica walk down the aisle and ends with the almost perfect wedding.
2. The One where Ross Got High

This got to be one of the funniest episodes as it highlights the love-hate sibling relationship between Ross and Monica. As Ross and Monica’s parents spend Thanksgiving at their apartment, Monica plans to tell her parents about her relationship with Chandler – but she learns that they do not like Chandler all because of an incident that involves Ross. Rachel also makes a Thanksgiving dessert gone wrong while Joey tries to get out of the dinner to hang out with a date and her dancer friends. It was one of an episode.
3. The One with Unagi

The One with Unagi is one of the memorable Friends episodes. With Joey trying to make money off a medical research, Phoebe and Rachel take self defense classes and Monica and Chandler give each other homemade gifts – this indeed is one an episode which surely has made us laugh.
4. The One with All the Thanksgivings

This one is a flashback episode that highlights all the group’s worst thanksgivings. As each character had their own bad thanksgiving story, Monica’s story is top of the list as it involves the first time she met Chandler and he called her fat. Every now and then this episode never fails to make us laugh with all the crazy flashbacks.
5. The One that Could Have Been (Parts 1 & 2)

We all love flashback episodes, but what about an episode with an alternate reality? In this Friends episode, the gang wonders what life could have been if Rachel married Barry, Monica was still fat, Ross was still married to Carol, Joey was still on Days of Our Lives, Phoebe had taken a job at Meryl Lynch, and Chandler quit his job to write stories for ‘The New Yorker’. With this alternate reality comes with unlikely events. This two-part episode was truly one for the books.
6. The One with the Videotape

This episode is known for the Joey’s infamous story about hiking in Western Europe which he uses to get girls. In this Friends episode, the gang wonders who initiated the kiss that led to Rachel being pregnant. Fortunately, Ross accidentally had it recorded through a videotape which led to unexpected series of events.
7. The One with the Proposal (Parts 1 & 2)

While Friends is known as a show that never fails to make us laugh, it also had episodes that made us all cry – particularly this one. We all seen how Monica and Chandler started as good friends then eventually became a couple, and seeing them get engaged was an emotional scene to watch. This episode is a tearjerker.
8. The One with the Embryos

Just when you thought you know these characters by heart, even themselves surprisingly do not know each other as we expected. In this episode, Monica, Rachel, Joey and Chandler play a harmless game conducted by Ross and eventually lead them betting for higher stakes. Meanwhile, Phoebe accepts to be a surrogate to her brother’s children and his older wife Alice.
9. The One where No One is Ready

This episode’s plot is simple, Ross has a big event but none his friends are ready. Monica is heartbroken over Richard, Rachel can’t find something to wear, Chandler and Joey gets into a petty fight while Phoebe gets caught in between everything else. The chaotic yet hilarious events in this episode makes it one of the show’s fan favorites episodes.
10. The One where Everyone Finds Out

This has to be the funniest episode from Friends. While Chandler and Monica makes an effort to hide their relationship from their friends, slowly one by one they find out without Chandler and Monica knowing they know. Instead of telling them that they know about their relationship, Phoebe and Rachel mess with Chandler and Monica which leads to unexpected turn of events.
