What happens when one of fashion’s most recognizable handbags leaves the shelves and finds its way onto a café menu? In Tory Burch’s latest pop-up, the answer comes in the form of coffee, pastries, and a little bit of New York charm.
For a limited time, the brand is bringing that idea to life at the Romy Bakery, a café pop-up inspired by the American fashion house’s signature Romy handbag. It’s where fashion finds its way into coffee, pastries, and thoughtful details, giving Manila’s style and café crowd a chance to experience Tory Burch beyond its boutiques.

The soft and neutral tones create a calm and polished atmosphere, while the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and pastries fills the space. There’s something almost tactile about the experience, from the smooth finish of the branded cups in your hands to the sight of carefully styled desserts waiting to be photographed. For a moment, a simple café visit feels a little more like stepping into the world of Tory Burch.
After making stops in cities like New Delhi and Ho Chi Minh, the concept has arrived in Manila, taking over Flour Pot in Bonifacio Global City until September 25.
When the Romy leaves the boutique
The Romy Bakery is, quite literally, a celebration of the bag. Named after Tory Burch’s Romy line, the collection is known for its soft pebbled leather, roomy compartments, and balance of polish and practicality.
At the BGC pop-up, those same qualities are translated into everything from the interiors to the smallest details of your coffee order. Step inside and you’ll find a curated display of Tory Burch bags, bringing the fashion element into the space without taking away from its cozy bakery atmosphere.

Fashion, down to the last detail
The real charm lies in the details.
The pop-up’s soft, neutral color palette extends across its packaging, giving even the simplest orders a distinctly Tory Burch touch. Coffee comes in branded cups and sleeves, while the latte and cappuccino (P268) are finished with latte art featuring the brand’s iconic logo.
Then comes the pièce de résistance: a cupcake that doubles as a tiny fashion statement.

Created exclusively for the Romy Bakery by Flour Pot, the Romy Cupcake (P280) pairs local wild raspberries with vanilla cream cheese. Its presentation takes inspiration from the Romy bag itself, allowing you to carry the cupcake like a miniature bucket bag. Even the other dessert boxes follow the same aesthetic, making the experience feel cohesive from the first sip to the last bite.
Where fashion meets everyday rituals
It’s the kind of collaboration that makes sense for Tory Burch, a brand founded in New York in 2004 and known for putting a modern spin on classic American style. Here, fashion isn’t confined to what hangs inside a boutique. It finds its way into the everyday rituals of getting coffee and treating yourself to something sweet.
Perhaps that’s what makes the Romy Bakery worth a visit. It isn’t trying to turn a café into a fashion store. Instead, it takes the things we already enjoy, good coffee, pretty pastries, and a well-designed space, and gives them a little more style.

Whether you’re stopping by for the Romy Cupcake, looking for your next BGC photo spot, or simply curious to see what happens when a handbag inspires a bakery, consider this your sign to add the Romy Bakery to your café rotation.
After all, some bags are made to carry your essentials. This one comes with dessert.
