Ascott Makati welcomes a new season with the latest edition of its global campaign, Ascott Soirée, a curated series of experiences celebrating modern expressions of fine living.
“At Ascott Makati, we don’t just offer fine living. We celebrate the many ways it can be experienced through art, fashion, food, culture, and music,” shares General Manager Cecille Teodoro. “This is reflected in our global tagline, Savor the Art of Fine Living.”
Starting this April, the property introduces a tea-centered concept that transforms everyday rituals into something more intentional. At the heart of this is a thoughtfully curated Afternoon Tea experience that blends culinary craftsmanship with wellness.

In collaboration with Mesclun Restaurant + Café, the Ascott Afternoon Tea features a refined selection by Chef Katrina Kuhn-Alcantara. Guests can enjoy a mix of savory and sweet creations, including Mushroom and Spinach Empanaditas, Grilled Vegetable Sourdough, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches, Bonbons, and Carrot Cake.
Complementing the menu are custom tea blends developed with Rene McHugh-Rodrigo. “Food and tea are equal components of any Afternoon Tea, so it was important for us to create pairings that feel harmonious,” shares Chef Katrina. “We wanted the experience to feel both nourishing and comforting.”
Guests can choose between two signature blends. The Glow Citrus and Mint Blend is a bright infusion designed to promote relaxation and digestion. The Warm Cinnamon and Spice Blend is a comforting mix known to support gut health and metabolism.
The Ascott Afternoon Tea is available daily at Mesclun from 12:00 NN onwards, priced at PHP 1,495 nett for two persons, until June 30, 2026.
The launch was unveiled through an intimate tea soirée attended by media and guests, where attendees experienced the full offering firsthand. Chef Katrina guided guests through the menu, while Rene McHugh-Rodrigo led a tea blending session, offering deeper insight into the craft.
Adding an artistic layer to the experience, guests also took home bespoke works by tea artists Esang Ocampo and Rens Tuzon, who use tea as a painting medium, highlighting its versatility beyond the cup.

Further extending the concept, Ascott Makati will roll out a series of tea and wellness workshops open to the public, from mindful rituals to creative sessions. Guests can stay updated and secure slots via @ascottmakatiph on Facebook and Instagram.
