Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora-Poe, better known as Susan Roces, is regarded as the ‘Queen of Filipino movies’ after making about 130 films in her lifetime. The multi-awarded actress being passionate with her craft has been active until early this year, playing the role of Flora, the grandmother of the protagonist, Cardo Dalisay, in the hit remake of an original Fernando Poe Jr. film, Ang Probinsyano.
Mrs. Susan Roces, in more than fifty decades have captured the hearts and minds of millions of Filipinos, spanning multiple generations. She has shown the plight and struggles of the Filipino people in movies like ‘Sa Puso ng Isang Ina’, ‘Mano Po 2: My Home’, and ‘Sa Linggo ang Bola’.
A legend, a role model, a wife, a mother, a beloved icon – Mrs. Susan Roces, you will forever live in the hearts of the Filipino people.
