The collection includes two colorways: the “Lit” which features stunning shades of red and gold and the “Wet” which features cool shades of blue. These colors are inspired solely by the colors of the Philippine flag. Bretman also used the Filipino term ‘bading’ as a name for one of the shades included in the palette. This was his way of using the derogative term ‘bading’ as it is used as an insult in the Philippines, and turn something positive out of it through his make up collection.

“This word can sometimes have a negative connotation, which it truly shouldn’t. I wanted to pay homage to this word and own it,” he said. “What better way to do that than by including it as the name of a product.”

He has inspired and continues to inspire many Filipinos to be proud of their culture.
