We all heard the news: Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror will be returning to Netflix with its fifth season on December 28. Netflix posted a photo on twitter announcing the release date of upcoming films and series for the month of December, but was soon deleted from the account. But this did not stop Black Mirror fans from seeing it and getting all hyped up. The upcoming fifth season episode will be entitled ‘Bandersnatch’. Sources said that Netflix will release an interactive episode where the viewers can choose their own ending – which sounds terrifying and exciting at the same time.
Black Mirror is one of Netflix’s successful shows that has gained a lot of viewers with its dystopian science-fiction theme. The series offers episodes, in no particular order, that tackle the advancements and horrors of technology.
Though Black Mirror does not exactly fall under the genre of horror, what makes the series terrifying is that with this digital age almost anything is possible with technology. While we can benefit from it, it also has its downsides – which the show mostly highlights.

This episode may not be as messed up compared to other Black Mirror episodes. Nose Drive is a social commentary on how we build relationships based on our social media statuses. This episode may not have a heavy approach on the social issue but its quirkiness made a lot of us hooked on the plot.
5. The Entire History of You

What we live in a world where you can rewind your memories? The Entire History of You shows us what would it be like if people get to watch their memories in rewind and even watch it alongside with others. Amazing as it sounds, the episode points out that there are still consequences with the idea of recollecting your memories now and then.
6. USS Callister

Fans of Star Trek would definitely enjoy this episode is inspired by the franchise. USS Callister features a plot that involve how the power of technology has its disadvantages and can possibly destroy people. The episode also reminds us to be nice to everyone we meet – we never know, they might have the power to create versions of us trapped in a video game.
7. Be Right Back

What if the people we love comes back from the afterlife? Be Right Back offers us what would it be like if someone you love returns back from the dead. Though scary might it seem, the episode offers a heartbreaking plot which made a lot of us shed tears.

With all the advance technology we have today, is it possible to meet your one true match through a dating app? Hang the DJ might tell us that it is possible to meet the perfect person for us through a dating app. The episode has the right amount of humor and romance which kept a lot of us interested on what will happen next.

This episode might be the most terrifying from the entire series as it shows the downside and horror of technology. Shut Up and Dance gives us the idea on how we should be responsible with using technology and be careful with what we put up or do with the internet. The unexpected turn of events made us all wanting for more.
10. San Junipero

Many consider this as the best Black Mirror episode as it features a plot built on an unconventional love story. Two women meet in an almost-perfect place called San Junipero and eventually fell in love. This episode left a lot of us in tears with it’s heartwarming plot.
