Alike50 Renaissance: Stephanie Oller of Pure Culture

Stephanie Oller is a strategic business leader and problem solver, drawing on her 15 years of experience in advertising, brand building, and operations.

Currently, Stephanie is focused on revolutionizing the Philippine skincare market with Pure Culture, a brand she co-founded to provide clean, microbiome-friendly skincare. 

With her profound understanding of consumer needs and market trends, Stephanie envisions taking F-beauty to new heights by making high-quality skincare accessible to all. “We are very proud to produce award-winning formulations and products that are naturally derived and maximized through biotechnology,” she shares.

The Philippine skincare market is notoriously overcrowded with low-quality, low-priced options, which led Stephanie to identify a significant gap. “7/10 Filipinos have sensitive skin and this is associated with low microbiome diversity,” she explains while 8/10 have acne-prone skin due to our climate.

As a result, many consumers are dissatisfied with their skincare purchases, often finding that products work initially but fail over time. Most available products are not designed to address the unique needs of skin in high-humidity and toxin-rich environments, which is a crucial factor in the local market.

Launched in August 2022, Pure Culture aims to tackle these challenges head-on. The brand closes its communication points within three things: people, purpose, and planet. It’s a plastic neutral + company and  its entire range of products is microbiome-friendly and formulated to deliver visible results – placing emphasis on keeping ecosystems within the body and the environment balanced. Products are formulated for oily, acne-prone skin or dry, mature skin, Pure Culture offers targeted solutions for a variety of skin types. 

Last year, Pure Culture’s Superskin Tonic earned the prestigious Think Clean Award, a distinction shared by only nine brands worldwide. Being one of the select few recognized with this honor is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to clean, sustainable skincare. 

Stephanie sees this recognition as the ultimate validation of their dedication to creating clean, effective skincare.

Outside of work, Stephanie places a high priority on self-care to maintain a strong sense of balance. “I workout daily – my body looks for it,” she says, emphasizing the importance of staying active. 

She also finds tranquility and rejuvenation by the beach, where she can unwind. Traveling is another key part of her life, as she regularly seeks out new destinations to explore, allowing herself the opportunity to immerse in different cultures and experiences, further fueling her creativity, personal growth, and even partnerships offshore.

As Stephanie Oller continues to lead Pure Culture toward greater innovation and success, her vision for the future remains firmly anchored in her passion for clean, sustainable skincare and her dedication to improving lives. “It’s my dream legacy: make clean skincare the standard,” she declares.
