Cheyenne Stefanie E. Cabral’s career in the culinary world reflects her passion, resilience, and dedication to excellence. As a Cook 2 at Diamond Hotel Philippines, she channels her expertise and creativity into delivering exceptional dining experiences. Her role in the hot buffet kitchen highlights her ability to craft diverse and flavorful dishes while continuously refining her skills and elevating her craft.
Stefanie’s path to success was not without its challenges. Entering the kitchen at 25, she found herself navigating a male-dominated environment—a daunting prospect for many. “At first, I was shy and timid,” she admits. Yet, with unwavering determination and an eagerness to learn, she transformed herself into a confident and self-reliant cook. “Experience has been my greatest teacher,” she shares. It is this resilience and drive that have enabled her to overcome every obstacle and evolve into the formidable culinary talent she is today.
In an industry where work often takes precedence over personal life, Stefanie remains grounded. She draws strength from simple pleasures, like comfort food —fries and milktea are her go-to stress relievers after a busy week. “My recharging starter pack is food and drinks!” she says, emphasizing how even small moments of joy are vital for maintaining balance.
Respect is a core value that Stefanie holds close to her heart. She firmly believes that every individual, regardless of their role or position, is deserving of equal respect. “I was raised to treat the janitor with the same respect as the CEO,” she shares. This philosophy not only guides her work ethic but also influences how she nurtures relationships with colleagues and guests, fostering an environment of mutual respect and inclusivity.
Looking ahead, Stefanie is determined to challenge herself and embrace growth. “I want to step outside of my comfort zone,” she shares with unwavering determination. With her sights set on the 2025 Philippine Culinary Cup, she is ready to venture into uncharted territory by tackling unfamiliar categories like Pasta or Poultry. More than just competing, Stefanie sees this as an opportunity to break free from the safety of strictly following recipes and rules, proving to herself—and others—that growth begins where comfort ends.
