Alike50 Renaissance: Quezon City Councilor Chuckie Antonio

Councilor Chuckie Antonio, one of the youngest City Councilors in Quezon City, is shaping the future of both local and global governance. His political career has been marked by impressive leadership roles, including serving as the regional secretary-general for the National Movement for Young Legislators (NMYL) and as a Philippine delegate for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). In addition to these roles, Antonio chairs the Committee on Communications Infrastructure for Quezon City, where his youthful perspective drives meaningful changes for the city’s infrastructure development.

Despite the demands of his political career, Chuckie values taking time to recharge. He explains that starting his day with “coffee and alone time for at least 45 minutes” helps him mentally and emotionally prepare for the challenges ahead.

To unwind and disconnect from his professional duties, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and indulging in sports such as tennis, golf, and basketball.

At the core of Chuckie’s personal and professional life are his values of loyalty and faith. He describes himself as “God-fearing” and credits the unwavering support of his family as a key factor in his success.

When asked who inspires him, Chuckie points to his wife. He shares, “The number of challenges she had to go through, this year specifically, and the way she was able to grow as a person to be able to power through them has really amazed me.” Her resilience has reignited his own inner strength, and he adds, “She reignited the grit and resilience inside of me that I felt I had lost for a while.”

As Chuckie Antonio continues to carve his path in public service, his story is more than just a reflection of youthful ambition — it is a beacon of hope and determination.

He draws not only from his own unwavering vision but from the collective strength of those who stand by him. His commitment to progress is fierce and unstoppable, a driving force that challenges the status quo and sparks profound change. Chuckie’s leadership is more than just a role — it is a movement that ignites, empowers, and shapes the future with unwavering conviction.
