Camille Ang, CEO and Co-Founder of Hive Health, is leading a revolution in healthcare accessibility in the Philippines.

Hive Health offers tailored HMO plans for startups and small-medium enterprises (SMEs), providing affordable, quality healthcare to millions of Filipinos. Backed by top investors such as Y Combinator, BEENEXT, and Gentree, the company continues to make waves in the health insurance space.

Before founding Hive Health, Camille built a distinguished career across the public and private sectors. She served as a Private Equity Executive at Macquarie, the world’s largest infrastructure fund manager. Her experience extends to the Philippines government, McKinsey & Company, and the Rwanda Development Board, where she honed her expertise in managing complex public-private sector collaborations.

Camille’s academic background further amplifies her global perspective. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University. These diverse academic pursuits, paired with her rich experience at the intersection of technology, business, and development, have not only shaped her expertise but also fueled her passion to drive transformative, impactful change in the society.

To recharge and maintain balance in her life, Camille enjoys spending time in nature, whether through walking, kayaking, or biking. “My husband and I would also block off Sunday mornings to go to church,” she adds, citing this as a time to realign on what truly matters.

When asked about a piece of advice that most transformed her life, Camille shared a profound lesson from a spiritual mentor. Her spiritual mentor once shared to her the verse Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path,” at a time when Camille was contemplating graduate school and the long journey ahead.

This wisdom spoke to her deeply — reminding her that we are guided by a Light each day, helping us discern the next step, even when the path ahead is uncertain. While the next 50 years may not be clear, that same Light will continue to guide us as we move forward.

For Camille, this insight provided a profound sense of liberation. It taught her that we only need to focus on doing our best in the present, trusting that the Light will guide us through the uncharted paths ahead, one step at a time. This perspective continues to inspire her leadership journey as she navigates the complexities of healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship.

As she continues to lead Hive Health toward its mission of revolutionizing healthcare in the Philippines, Camille remains guided by the Light of purpose and conviction. In a world where the future often feels unpredictable, her story is a reminder that with determination, wisdom, and the right guidance, we can forge paths that not only transform industries but also improve the lives of millions.
