The Spirits Library has earned one of the biggest recognitions in Asia’s cocktail industry, becoming the only bar in the Philippines to be included in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 Extended List (51–100).
The Poblacion cocktail destination debuted at No. 98 on this year’s ranking, making it the country’s sole representative on the prestigious extended list ahead of the official Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony in Macau on July 28.
Widely regarded as one of the region’s most influential bar rankings, Asia’s 50 Best Bars is determined by votes from the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy—a panel of more than 300 bartenders, bar owners, drinks journalists, and cocktail experts from across the continent. The annual 51–100 list celebrates bars that are shaping the future of Asia’s cocktail scene and has become a respected benchmark for emerging destinations and rising industry leaders.
Founded by Lee Watson, The Spirits Library has quietly established itself as one of Manila’s most distinctive cocktail destinations since opening in 2019. Inspired by the charm of an old-world library, the bar has become known for its collection of rare and vintage spirits, timeless interiors, thoughtful hospitality, and cocktails that balance technical precision with storytelling.
Being named among Asia’s leading bars marks a significant milestone not only for the establishment, but also for the Philippine cocktail community.
