“It’s really a life-changing experience,” Alodia shares. “We didn’t realize how much care and attention a newborn baby needs. At first, a crying baby can be stressful because it’s hard to troubleshoot, but over time, you learn new tools and tricks to calm him. Despite the sleepless nights, we feel so blessed to care for him.”

The early days have been filled with learning, adapting, and embracing new roles. Chris admits that his initial approach was to “parent” their two-month-old son right away. “But at this stage, it’s less about discipline and more about bonding and building trust,” he explains. The focus, they say, is on creating a solid foundation for their son’s future while enjoying every precious moment in the present.

 

 

Love Redefined

For Chris and Alodia, becoming parents has deepened their understanding of love and commitment. “The love we have for each other is built on a foundation of values we defined early in our relationship,” Chris explains. “Love isn’t just a feeling; it’s a decision. We take the vows we made to each other seriously and are wholeheartedly committed to one another.”

As they navigate this new chapter, one heartwarming moment stands out: quiet evenings at home with Cameron, fully fed, diaper changed, smiling, and trying to communicate with his parents. “Nothing is more priceless than that,” Alodia says.

 

 

Partnership and Teamwork

Parenthood has also strengthened their partnership as husband and wife. “It hasn’t changed our relationship because it’s still built on the same values,” Chris shares. “But raising a child together does challenge you in new ways. If you have a good foundation, it will only make your love stronger.”

Their secret to keeping the spark alive? Communication and teamwork. “Taking care of a child is no easy feat. We plan our schedules together and even take turns on baby duties to make sure each of us gets enough rest,” Alodia says. “It’s all about working as a team and being kind and patient with each other.”

 

 

Legacy of Love

For the Quimbos, legacy is the word that defines this new phase in their lives. Parenthood has given them a greater sense of purpose. “It’s no longer just about our personal goals but about the values, love, and inspiration we pass on to our child,” Chris reflects.

They hope to raise Cameron with a strong sense of character and humility, guided by a quote passed down from Chris’s grandfather: “You cannot make a boy good by making him happy, but you can make him happy by making him good.”

“It’s important to us that he grows up understanding how to be kind and grounded, despite the advantages he may have,” Alodia adds.

 

 

Building Traditions and New Beginnings

One tradition the couple looks forward to continuing is visiting Japan during cherry blossom season — a place filled with beautiful memories. “Japan will always be special for us,” Alodia says. “Now, we’re excited to bring Cameron and share those experiences with him. It’s one thing to enjoy it as a couple, but seeing it through our son’s eyes will make it even more magical.”

Looking back at how their love story has unfolded—from a romantic wedding on Valentine’s Day to their journey into parenthood—Chris and Alodia can’t help but feel grateful. “We never planned for Valentine’s to be our wedding anniversary,” Chris laughs. “It just worked out that way. But now, it’s a reminder of the commitment we made to each other and the hope that one day Cameron will find the same kind of love we’ve found.”
