Backtracking a bit, Lipa and Turner’s love story began in January 2024, when the two sparked dating rumors after being spotted together at the London premiere afterparty of Masters of the Air. The couple made their relationship Instagram official in July of the same year, and made their red-carpet debut at the 2025 Met Gala. In June 2025, Dua confirmed their engagement, revealing that Turner had a custom engagement ring made for her.
Nearly a year later, the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in London on May 31, 2026, followed by a grand three-day wedding event held recently in Sicily. This quickly became a major fashion event of the year.

Luxurious White Elegance in Schiaparell
Being the daring artist that she is, it made sense that one of her wedding dresses would be a tribute to another unconventional moment in bridal fashion history, Bianca Jagger’s wedding suit. Designed by Schiaparelli’s creative director Daniel Roseberry, the creation featured a sharply tailored ivory blazer flattering the waist. It also dawned personalized gold jewelry-like buttons. To complete the look, the gown was paired with an asymmetrical skirt and a blush lace-trimmed bustier.
Breaking the Norm in Leather
Things took a playful twist for Lipa’s Sicilian Pre-Wedding dress. Here, she wore a Bottega Veneta white leather halterneck gown with the brand’s signature intrecciato weave. The gown mixed an elegant mermaid silhouette with a low back, and an white ostrich-feather mermaid skirt. Despite its unexpected design choices, the overall look still felt very bridal and elegant.
A Princess Dress for a Fairytale Wedding
Dua Lipa is a trailblazer and a tastemaker. For instance, in 2018, she became the first female artist to receive five nominations in a single year at the BRIT Awards. The same year and award body, she also became the first female artist to receive five nominations in a single year.
Following this affinity to trendsetting, Lipa is also Matthieu Blazy’s first Chanel bride. For her wedding’s main celebration, she wore the magnificent creation decorated with intricate embroidery, 25,000 crafted and applied by Lemarié, and an expansive 2-meters train. All this was topped with a 6-meter veil. The creation is said to have 1,155 hours of work put into completing it.

Turner’s understated yet sophisticated choices beautifully complemented Lipa’s more elaborate couture ensembles. For their intimate London civil ceremony, the British actor wore a custom midnight-blue double-breasted Ferragamo suit by Maximilian Davis. For the grand celebration in Sicily, Turner chose a bespoke Louis Vuitton tuxedo designed by Pharrell Williams. This look also featured a black wool jacket with satin lapels, matching trousers, and a red peony boutonnière.
A Nod to History and Craftsmanship
Following the couple’s incredible wardrobe choices, the wedding’s aesthetic was reflected all the way to its romantic venue, décor and aesthetic. The couple said their “i dos” at the historic 18th-century Villa Valguarnera in Sicily. The celebration brought old-world Italian charm and elegance, as if straight out of a Great Gatsby novel. No detail was compromised, so much so, as to give personalized embroidered fans and handkerchiefs to guests.
