Millie de Luna-Daluz is a passionate and energetic start-up entrepreneur, best known as the CEO of Ancient + Brave PH and a new F&B player, the Aluyan Food Group. With over 11 years of experience in brand activation and marketing, Millie’s true expertise lies in getting things started and keeping them going. She serves as the group’s lead for new ventures – the Chief Business Transformation Officer of the A+ Ecosystem, a thriving network of over 20 brand activation companies founded by her father, Manny de Luna.

In this role, Millie oversees the NEXT – the transformation and innovation of a diverse portfolio of companies, including ActivAsia, AliveCo, AHA Behavioral Design, Adlib Studios, and Aluyan. These companies span various industries, such as brand activation, health and wellness, behavioral design, creative services, and food and beverage. Her energy and leadership have been instrumental in charting the future of these ventures.

When asked about her definition of success in the start-up world, Millie reflects, “Success means winning your own race and accomplishing the mission of the moment. When you dream big, the opportunities are endless.” Reflecting on her journey, Millie shares a pivotal moment: “A year ago, I was afraid of failure. But after experiencing many failures, I learned to accept them, grow from them, and move on.” This resilience has shaped her mindset, enabling her to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

A close friend once shared a piece of wisdom that altered Millie’s perspective: “Love your story.” Those words transformed her approach to setbacks. Rather than viewing difficulties as obstacles, she began asking herself, “How can I win from this?” With this mindset, Millie realized that every chapter in life, no matter how difficult, offers meaningful lessons — as long as you keep an open heart, a focused mind, and continue moving forward.

Looking toward the future, Millie is filled with excitement and unwavering confidence. She envisions a journey full of broad strokes, focusing on the big picture rather than getting bogged down by details. She is determined to embrace what lies ahead, enjoying her own story every step of the way. “I will plan broad strokes, focus on the big picture, not obsess too much about the details, and enjoy my own story!” she says with anticipation.

For Millie, joy lies in experiencing the journey as it comes — being open to surprises, learning from detours, and celebrating small victories along the way. By not sweating the small stuff, she frees herself to live in the moment and enjoy the ride.
