Just three hours from Manila, Pico Sands Hotel offers a refreshing coastal escape, with beautiful surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
There is something particularly inviting about a seaside escape that doesn’t require traveling too far from the city.
Nestled within Pico de Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas, Pico Sands Hotel is approximately a three-hour drive from Manila, making it an ideal destination for a weekend away. With its beautiful beachfront, spacious recreational facilities, and variety of dining options, the property offers a lovely balance of relaxation and activities for families.

During a recent weekend stay, it was easy to see why the destination holds such appeal, especially for those traveling with young children.
A Beach Away from the Crowds
One of the highlights of Pico Sands Hotel is its beach, a peaceful stretch of shoreline surrounded by the natural beauty of Pico de Loro.
During our visit, the beach was pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to enjoy the surroundings at a leisurely pace. Lounge chairs arranged along the sand provided a comfortable place to take in the coastal views while the children happily spent their time playing by the shore.
The setting felt relaxed and inviting, with enough space to enjoy the beach without the bustle of a busy seaside destination.
For the children, the sand alone was an endless source of entertainment. And for the adults, there was something equally enjoyable about simply sitting by the water and taking in the view.

Made for Little Explorers
Beyond the beach, the hotel’s swimming facilities were another highlight, particularly the dedicated children’s pool.
Generously sized and complete with slides, the pool offers a wonderful space for younger guests to swim and play. Its dedicated area gives children plenty of room to enjoy the water, while a playground conveniently located just across makes it easy to move between activities.
The thoughtful arrangement was especially appreciated during our stay, allowing the children to enjoy both spaces with ease.
Another standout was the hotel’s Kids’ Club, an indoor play facility available for an additional fee.
Spacious and well-maintained, the Kids’ Club offers a variety of activities, including a drawing area that was particularly popular with our little ones. The space was also pleasantly uncrowded during our visit, giving the children plenty of room to explore and enjoy themselves.

It was a worthwhile addition to the experience, especially for families looking for activities beyond the beach and swimming pools.
Around the Table at Lagoa
Good food has a way of making a holiday even more enjoyable, and dining was certainly another pleasant part of our stay.
Breakfast was served on the ground floor of the hotel, offering a good selection to begin the morning before heading out for the day’s activities.

For dinner, Lagoa quickly became our restaurant of choice.
Recently renovated, the restaurant welcomes guests into refreshed interiors that make for a lovely evening setting. Its menu features a delightful variety of cuisines, with Filipino, Korean, Thai, and other dishes offering plenty of options for every preference.
The food was consistently good, and the range of choices made each dinner enjoyable in its own way. We found ourselves returning throughout our stay, appreciating both the atmosphere and the convenience of having such a satisfying dining option nearby.
The Beauty of Doing Less
Perhaps what made our weekend at Pico Sands Hotel particularly memorable was how naturally everything came together.
Days could be spent moving between the beach, swimming pools, and play areas, with enough activities to keep the children entertained while still enjoying the slower pace of a holiday.
We were even told that ducks could be spotted around the property, although we didn’t get the chance to see them during our visit. A charming little detail to look forward to next time.
Yet among all the amenities, some of the loveliest moments were also the simplest: watching the children play in the sand, enjoying the pool slides, or spending time drawing together at the Kids’ Club.

There is a certain beauty in seeing children find so much happiness in the little things.
For families seeking a convenient coastal getaway, Pico Sands Hotel offers a wonderful setting to spend a few days together. Its inviting beachfront, family-friendly facilities, and enjoyable dining experiences make it a destination that caters beautifully to both children and adults.
A weekend filled with sunshine, sea air, and the simple pleasure of being together. Sometimes, that is all a family holiday needs to be.
